We are absolutely delighted to introduce our new teacher, Jiyeon!

Last year, she proudly served as Queen of Bateria at LSS, demonstrating not only exceptional talent but also true dedication to our community. In 2025, she was crowned 1st Princesa de Bateria at the Samba Festival Coburg, further recognising her artistry, strength, and presence within the samba world.

Over the past three years, she has paraded multiple times at the Sambadrome in Rio as both a Passista and a Musa, bringing authentic Rio Carnival energy and experience directly to our school.

For several years, she has also led dance sessions alongside the Bateria through our regular Samba Wednesday sessions, sharing her knowledge, passion, and deep connection to the rhythm.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her stepping into this teaching role. Please join us in giving her a huge and well-deserved welcome — the energy is about to rise even higher!
