Come and celebrate the beginning of the London School of Samba’s 2012 Carnival season this Saturday (28th April) at Guanabara

The evening will feature our bateria, brilliant dancers and guest singers who will perform the entries to the LSS Samba de Enredo competition. The London School of Samba is one of the few samba schools in Europe that offer this opportunity to the community.
Guanabara will have free entry before 8pm.

The Samba de Enredo is the musical representation of the LSS carnival theme “Passando a Chama” (Passing the Flame) and will be the school’s song for 2012.

This summer the London School of Samba will be taking part in six parades including Notting Hill Carnival and Hackney One Carnival where the winning song will be at the centre of it all.

Bateria Director Fred Turuka said,
‘Samba is all about ‘comunidade’ (community). Our competition brings samba and our local community together, the best of both worlds, for a night that will be hard to forget!
