The London School of Samba was formed in 1984 and are the oldest Samba School in the UK.  Since then we have been entertaining people with all our London samba gigs over the years. We were the first Samba School to play at the world famous Notting Hill Carnival and introduced Brazilian Carnival to the parade! It will soon be our 40th anniversary and our infectious wall of sound, colour and dance will bring the excitement of Rio Carnival to your party!

London New Year Day Parade – Fantastic Street Carnival!


The London New Year Day Parade takes place every January 1st in the centre of London.  It is known as one of the world’s great street spectaculars, and is known as the biggest New Year’s Day street event of its kind!  The parade is used to raise funds for charities in London and for this reason the London School of Samba really love to support this amazing event!  It passes through some of London’s iconic landmarks and attracts over 500,000 people on to the streets of Westminster and a live TV audience around the World in excess of three hundred million.

 

Guanabara Nightclub – Voted best Brazilian night out in London


Guanabara was known as one of London’s most authentic and popular Brazilian bars over the years. London School of Samba have performed here hundreds of times and it was one of the best Brazilian London samba gigs over the years.  Every time London School of Samba have played they brought the house down!  We have people from Brazil in tears coming up to us after the gig saying this was like being back in Rio for Carnival!

The London School of Samba have performed over 116 times at the Guanabara Nightclub in London!  As Guanabara had the amazing reputation for being the best and most authentic Brazilian bar in London, must was an important part of the mix!
