Samba is the dance and rhythm of Brazil and the famous Rio Carnival. This dance is called Samba no pé (not to be confused with ballroom samba). This is what we do in London school of Samba. You dance alone but of course interact with others. It is a very flirtatious dance with lots of teasing and playing. The other side to this dancing is when parading in carnivals or shows where your section of dancers will follow a set choreography or routine. he perfect place to take you dance skills to a high level. We have helped bring and develop many professional samba dancers through our school and have one of the strongest samba performance groups in Europe.
Samba dancing is one of the best ways to have fun as well as getting some exercise. At the London School of Samba we have a variety of different dance influences from across Brazil so that the classes always remain fun and interesting. This means you never get bored and always developing your dance skills.
Dance in Brazil is a way of life and the culture has a freedom to music and movement almost unimaginable to us here in the UK (You need to experience it to believe it!). The London School of Samba we have created this culture in the heart of the capital. The Brazilian attitude to dance is never to worry if your dancing is good or bad it is simply to lose yourself in the movement.
While many people join us every week for fun and fitness the London School of Samba is also the perfect place to take you dance skills to a high level. We have helped bring and develop many professional samba dancers through our school and have one of the strongest samba performance groups in Europe.
