This Sunday 12th the London School of Samba dancers, bateria and sambistas from all over the UK, and further afield, will perform in the Rio Flag Handover section of the Olympic Closing Ceremony, when the Olympic Flag passed from London to Rio 2016, the next Olympic host. Evelyn Glennie, LSS patron and world-renowned Percussionist played a prominent role in the Ceremony, composing and performing songs that formed the soundtrack to the night.
