Management team
The day-to-day running of the school is undertaken primarily by an operational Management Team that are directed and supported by the Accounts and Administrative Assistant and Board of Trustees.
Communications Team
Managers: Kanika Findley-Chin & Chris Mullins-Silverstein
Kanika and Chris work as volunteers for the London School of Samba producing our newsletters, coordinating all internal and external communications including press and website updates. Kanika also performs as one of our dancers, and Chris plays repenique in the bateria.
Social Media: Fee Heberle
Fee volunteers as part of the communications team, and is frequently found tweeting in both English and Portuguese as well as maintaining our many Facebook pages. Fee can often be found at the back of the bateria on Surdo.

Dance
Dance Team Manager: Mariana Whitehouse
Mariana works as a volunteer for the LSS, representing and co-ordinating the dance team to manage all dance related developments, meetings, workshops, rehearsals, preparation for shows and carnival parades. Mariana also dances in the performing group.
Music
Musical Director (Mestre): Fred Turuka
Fred heads up our Bateria (drumming group) leading a team of directors to ensure our music is traditional but with plenty of innovation and style – hitting audiences with exciting breaks and combinations making performances different every time. Fred regularly leads the workshops and rehearsals.
Board of Trustees
The Trustees of LSS have overall responsibility for its strategic direction. They meet every quarter to ensure that the organisation complies with relevant legislation, is financially sound and promotes its charitable objectives.
